Let’s take an in-depth view of the possible solutions!
How to Fix the Logitech Circle View Keeps Going Offline
You should try these solutions to get the Circle View device back online.
1. Reboot your Devices
Rebooting is the common and magical way to resolve any malfunctioning device. As it refreshes the device and removes minor glitches.
While you’ve found the Circle doorbell is offline in the app, you should reboot the doorbell, phone, and Wi-Fi router.
This will help you resolve the problem and return the device online in the app. Here are the steps to do this.
You can reboot your Circle device by pressing the Grey button from its back for about 10-15 seconds.
Release the button while a white light from its back turns off, and press the power button again for a few seconds to turn it back on.
And then you’ve to reboot your mobile phone, which is connected to the doorbell. So, press and hold the power button until it power button appears on the screen.
Next, tap/ slide the power button and wait about 30 seconds. Then power back the device by pressing and holding the power button.
Your Wi-Fi router does not have a power button, which you can use to shut it down and power it back again.
So, you should unplug the power adapter from the outlet and wait about 30 seconds. After that period, plug the adapter back into the outlet.
This process will power cycle your Wi-Fi router and cause it to be refreshed and work correctly.
2. Check Router Settings
You should also check your Wi-Fi network to ensure it is stable and does not cause issues. And if you have a dual-band frequency router, you should change its settings.
Suppose you have connected the Circle device to a 2.4 GHz network, which isn’t working; you should switch it to 5 GHz.
Switching the Wi-Fi channels helped many other users, and I faced the same issues with Logitech Circle View devices.
3. Place Router Closer
Another reason is the weak Wi-Fi network that causes this issue with your doorbell. If your router isn’t placed closer to the doorbell, it brings a slow Wi-Fi connection.
And resulting in the doorbell is offline from the app, you should move the router closer to the doorbell.
The ideal distance between the doorbell and your Wi-Fi router is 5 to 10 feet while setting it up. And then you can keep them at a distance of about 50 feet.
4. Force Stop the App
The Circle app is an essential part of the doorbell, which helps to record video or import events and shows you a preview of the doorbell camera.
If the app malfunctions, you can see this kind of issue with the Circle device. You should try to force stop the app, which will refresh it and start over again.
Here are the steps to do so:
1. Locate the Circle app on your phone.
2. Then long press on the app icon.
3. Tap on app info; from the pop-up message.
4. Next, tap on the Force-stop .
5. And tap Ok to confirm it.
5. Reset the Doorbell
Resetting the doorbell is another possible solution that will resolve issues with the device. It will also turn the doorbell back to the factory default settings.
Then you’ll get it back to the default settings as new and connect to the app again to get it back online.
Here are steps to reset the Circle View doorbell:
- Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds.

Resetting will remove all of your customized settings and data from the router. Here are steps to reset the Wi-Fi router:
- Ensure the router is connected to the power and powered on.
- Then locate the reset button at its back; long press it with the help of a paperclip or other similar tool.
- Release the button after about 5 to 10 seconds, and wait until the router finishes the process and powers back on.
7. Update the Firmware
Firmware is the combination of files that allows the hardware to perform tasks and communicate with other software.
And manufacturers release new firmware updates with time, according to the need to improve the device functionality.
So, check that your Logitech doorbell is running on the latest firmware version. If it is outdated, you should update it to resolve issues.
Here are steps to update firmware:
- Open the Circle app on your phone.
- Tap on more settings.
- And then Update Firmware.
8. Update Circle App
On the other hand, you should ensure that the Circle app is running on the latest version. If the app is outdated, it probably causes issues.
Check if the app is outdated; you should install the latest version on your mobile. You can follow the steps below to update it.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- In the search bar, type Circle app to search it.
- Then tap on update.
- And wait until it finishes the process.
9. Update the Connected Phone
The mobile phone you use to control the Logitech device should also run on the latest software version.
If the phone software is outdated or malfunctioning, you should check for the latest update and install it.
Here are steps to update your mobile phone:
- Open your phone settings.
- Scroll and tap on About phone.
- Then select System Update.
- And a scan will run to check for any available software updates.
- Next, tap on an update, and wait until it finishes.
10. Remove Internet Obstructions
You should also check for obstruction between the Logitech and Wi-Fi router. These physical hurdles can reduce the network signals.
You should try moving these obstructions away from the way of the doorbell and router. And the second thing you should temporarily reduce connected devices from the same network.
Because if you have connected too many devices to the router, they will weaken the Wi-Fi signals.
So you should remove the device that isn’t currently in your use. And check if it improves the signal’s strength and helps to get the doorbell back online.
11. Check Power Supply
Last but not least, you should check the power supply of your Circle view device.
Ensure it receives desired power to work correctly. If the doorbell is battery powered, ensure its battery is fully charged.
And for the hardwired doorbell, check the wiring isn’t faulty and that the transformer is rated higher.
12. Contact Customer Support
