So, you should wait a moment to install the update; and ensure the doorbell is connected to a strong network connection.
4. Not Receiving Enough Power

1. Locate the circuit breaker at your home.
2. Flip the breaker to its off position.
3. Wait for about 1 minute.
4. Flip the breaker back to the on position.
2. Check Power Supply

So, you should ensure your Ring doorbell transformer is rated 6-24 VAC 50/60HZ, 10-40VA max; if the transformer is incompatible, you should replace it.
Also, remove your doorbell from the mounting plate and then check the connection at the back of your doorbell; they should be connected properly.
3. Check Wi-Fi Connection
You should also check your Wi-Fi connection because a faulty network connection will cause the doorbell to flash.
If the doorbell is not receiving proper signals or the router is faulty, the doorbell will be disconnected and keep trying to connect to the network at all times.
And you’ll see a blue light on the doorbell, which indicates the doorbell is connecting to the Internet.
You can check your Wi-Fi speed by using software online, connecting your phone to the same network, and opening the web browser.
If you cannot open the web browser, it means your Wi-Fi connection is faulty and needs to be fixed.
4. Update Ring Doorbell
If you are still seeing the light, you should check that your doorbell is up to date. Because if the doorbell is running on outdated firmware, it will try to install the latest firmware every time when it records events or is pressed.
To turn off this light, you have to update your Ring doorbell firmware by going to the Rin official website.
Here are steps to update your Ring doorbell:
1. Open the Ring website on your laptop or computer, and log into your account.
2. Tap on “my devices.”
3. Then select the Ring doorbell from the devices list.
4. Click on the “Device Health.”
5. If the Rig has the latest firmware update available, you’ll see the Update Firmware button. You should click on it to install the update.
5. Place Router Closer
If your doorbell is connected to a slow Wi-Fi connection, it will be the reason for the device to keep disconnecting and reconnecting.
As a result of this process, you’ll see a blue light on your doorbell when it is connecting to the network.
So, you should check and ensure that your Wi-Fi router is placed closer to the Ring doorbell. If it is away and the doorbell isn’t receiving proper signals, you will keep facing the issue.
You should relocate your router and take it closer to the doorbell. However, you can also use a Wi-Fi extender to improve the Internet signal strength.
6. Factory Reset Router
You can also reset your router to resolve the network connection issues. Performing a factory reset removes all kinds of software bugs and turns it back to its factory default settings.

1. Ensure the router is connected to the power and turned on.
2. Then locate the reset button from the back of your router.
3. Press and hold the reset button with a paperclip or other similar tool for about 15 seconds.
4. Release the button after 15 seconds and wait until the router completes the process and is powered on.
7. Reset Ring Doorbell
Sometimes your doorbell can keep disconnecting or not installing updates due to software glitches.
Performing a factory reset will turn it back to the factory default settings and remove all kinds of software bugs.
After resetting, the doorbell will start working correctly; also, remember to back up your data because the data will be removed.
